Plumbing Services We Offer
Water Heater Repair & Replacement
Broken water heaters are one of the most common plumbing problems we run into. Fortunately, it’s not difficult to determine the cause of the problem and whether or not the heater needs to be replaced. You’ll know it most likely needs to be replaced if:
• There’s water leaking from the heater unit itself
• The heater is failing to keep water up to temperature
• The pilot will not stay lit on a unit that’s 8-10 years old
In some cases a malfunctioning water heater can be repaired. But if it must be replaced, it can usually be done in just a few hours.
Toilet Repair & Replacement
Because toilets play such an important role in the household, it’s wise to look into any potential problems your toilet may have. Running toilets, leaking toilets and toilets that aren’t flushing well should be inspected and, if possible, repaired.
In some cases, a toilet may need to be entirely rebuilt, which would involve replacing seals, valves, and other components. In a worst case scenario, the toilet may need to be replaced, which is a fairly quick and inexpensive project.
Faucet Repair & Replacement
Faucets are one of the most frequently used plumbing appliances and yet they are often the most overlooked. Because they’re so vital in day-to-day living, it’s important to make sure your faucets are well-kept and functioning properly. You should have your faucets inspected if they:
• Leak from the spout, handle or any other noticeable area
• Are not properly mixing hot and cold water
• Do not turn on or shut off properly
• Show signs of corrosion or heavy mineral build up
All faucets will function poorly if they’re not serviced over time. Some can be repaired or adjusted to improve performance, but often times a simple replacement is the better option.
Garbage Disposal Replacement
Because garbage disposals are fairly inexpensive and easy to install, it’s better to replace a malfunctioning disposal rather than trying to repair it. Replacing a garbage disposal should take less than an hour and can usually be scheduled for same-day service. You should have your disposal checked if:
• It’s leaking from the bottom of the unit
• It doesn’t drain properly
• The disposal blades are jammed
• The disposal is making unusual noises
• The disposal won’t turn on at all
In some cases, a disposal can be serviced to correct a problem. Pressing the unit’s reset button or using a hex wrench to unjam the blade disc (this is done from the underside of the disposal) may help, but if not, it will probably need to be replaced.
Pressure regulators play an important role in your home plumbing system. They keep extreme water pressure from entering the system, protecting supply lines, appliances and faucets from premature wear and damage.
Abnormal water pressure, running toilets and leaky faucets are possible signs of a bad pressure regulator. You should have your regulator inspected and/or replaced if you’re having any of these problems.
Replacing a pressure regulator is a quick and inexpensive way to avoid damage and premature wearing of your plumbing system and its various parts—such as your water heater, faucets and valves.
Shut-off valves determine which parts of the house to send water to, and which parts to cut-off or restrict flow. They are critical components to your home system, allowing you to shut-off water to only certain areas of your home for service, repair, or in the event of a plumbing emergency.
Shut-off valves are normally found beneath faucets, near water heaters, pressure regulators and meters, as well as anywhere there’s some form of water service, such as washing machines and ice makers.
If any of your shut-offs are leaking, damaged, or showing signs of corrosion, you should have them inspected and/or replaced as soon as possible to avoid a plumbing emergency.
Leak Detection Services
If you have any reason to believe you have a leak somewhere in your home, its important to have it checked out by a plumber that’s knowledgeable and experienced in leak detection. Waiting too long to address the problem could lead to extensive damage and repairs. You should call for leak detection services if you:
• Notice a sudden discoloration in your ceiling or walls
• Notice water or moisture in unusual places
• Hear running or dripping water in walls or under floor
• Notice warm spots on your floor
• Have an unusual increase in water usage
There are several different kinds of leaks, and more than a few ways to diagnose them. Most of the time, we can find the source of your plumbing leak within a few hours.
Drain Cleaning Services
If you’re having drain problems anywhere in your home, it’s better to have a plumber experienced in drain cleaning look into the problem instead of trying to fix it yourself. It’s never a good idea to ignore drain problems. Like most plumbing problems, they almost never go away on their own.
Clogged sinks or toilets, water backing up into tubs or showers and unusually slow drain times indicate that there’s a stoppage somewhere in your drain system. Having your drains cleaned and cleared is a simple, affordable solution. We can usually inspect, diagnose and resolve most drain issues within a few hours.
Sewer Camera Inspections
Sewer camera inspections become necessary when regular stoppages are occurring or there’s an ongoing problem with your drain system. Sewer cameras allow you to see the interior condition of your drain lines and anything unusual going on inside. They can help diagnose and solve difficult problems you’re having with your drainage system, such as:
• Roots growing into your sewer line
• Breaks or disconnections in the line
• Hard to remove objects or debris
• Poorly routed or graded sewage lines
• Damage to any part of the drain system
Call and ask about our sewer camera services if you’ve been having trouble with stoppages or poor drainage. It’s a quick, inexpensive way to resolve the the problem.
Sewer Line Repair and Replacement
In situations where any portion of your sewer line is causing drainage problems, locating and accessing the line for repair may become necessary. Sewer lines that have breaks, sagging areas, disconnections or poor routing should be repaired or replaced as needed to prevent further problems and restore your home’s drainage capability.
In most cases, we can access any portion of a sewer or drain line and repair it in as little as a single afternoon—even those located beneath the home’s driveway, sidewalk or foundation. Call to schedule an inspection so we can get to the bottom of your sewer line problems.
Re-routes become necessary when a broken or leaking water line cannot be accessed for repair. In these situations, a new supply line will be installed to replace the damaged one, and the new line will restore service to any affected areas. This can be done with one line or multiple lines.
Slab leaks (leaks beneath the home’s foundation) are the most common reason for having a re-route. It takes a plumber experienced in leak detection to determine the location of a slab leak and isolate the broken line. The new line can then be routed from your water service to the appropriate fixtures throughout the home.
Whole House Re-pipes
In situations where slab leaks are a reoccurring problem or you’re concerned about the general condition of your water pipes, a whole-house re-pipe may be the best option. This usually involves the complete abandonment of the home’s aged or worn supply lines and replacing them with new ones.
Re-pipes can be done with copper or with flexible, leak-resistant polyethylene (PEX) tubing. Each material has it’s own advantages, but the general procedure is about the same.
